Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths
On 18 February 2009 I was made a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths at Goldsmiths' Hall in London. The photo shows me receiving my certificate of Freedom from Grant Macdonald, Prime Warden of the Goldsmiths, and the other wardens of the company.
This historic ceremony has been carried out at the same desk at Goldsmiths' Hall for 300 years and at more or less the same spot (the current Goldsmiths' Hall is the third to occupy the same site) for nearly 700 years.
